VIENNA, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed in a shooting in Vorgartenstrasse area of Vienna, Austria, on Tuesday evening, local media reported.

According to the Austrian Press Agency (APA), shots were fired both inside an apartment and on the street. A man, believed to be the alleged perpetrator, was found dead after reportedly trying to flee police, while a woman was discovered dead inside the apartment, APA said.

Police stated that there is no danger to the public and confirmed that investigations are underway. ■
