BEIJING, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- China's Wang Chuqin has returned to the top of the men's singles rankings after the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) released its latest world list on Tuesday.
Wang earned 1,000 ranking points by winning the World Table Tennis (WTT) Champions Macao on Sunday, lifting him above compatriot Lin Shidong with 9,425 points to Lin's 9,375.
WTT Champions Macao runner-up Hugo Calderano of Brazil climbed to third, while Japan's Tomokazu Harimoto slipped to fourth. The rest of the top 10 features Sweden's Truls Moregard, China's Liang Jingkun, France's Felix Lebrun, Germany's Benedikt Duda, China's Xiang Peng and Slovenia's Darko Jorgic.
In the women's singles, Chinese paddlers dominated by sweeping the top five positions: Sun Yingsha, Wang Manyu, Chen Xingtong, Kuai Man and Wang Yidi.
Japan's Miwa Harimoto is the highest-ranked non-Chinese player in sixth, followed by Zhu Yuling, now representing Macao, China. Japan's Mima Ito, China's Chen Yi and another Japanese, Satsuki Odo, round out the top 10.
China also leads in doubles. Wang Manyu and Kuai Man top the women's doubles rankings, Lin Shidong and Kuai Man lead in mixed doubles, and France's Alexis and Felix Lebrun head the men's doubles standings. ■
