RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- Former Brazil manager Tite is in talks with the Venezuelan Football Federation over the Vinotinto's vacant managerial post, Brazilian media reported.
The 64-year-old is due to undergo knee surgery in the coming days before deciding on his next move, Globo Esporte said.
Tite, who led Brazil from 2016 to 2022, has been without a job since leaving Flamengo in September 2024. He has also reportedly drawn interest from at least four Brazilian clubs.
Venezuela's head coaching role became available after Fernando Batista resigned following a 6-3 home defeat by Colombia last week.
The Vinotinto, which has never reached the World Cup finals, was in the qualification places for much of the South American campaign before finishing with three consecutive defeats. ■
