The injured include Pete Taylor, the father of Katie Taylor, a well-known Irish boxer who has won a number of gold medals at world-level boxing events, said the report.

According to the report, the shooting happened at about 7:00 a.m. local time (0600 GMT) on Tuesday inside Bray Boxing Club in the country's eastern coastal town, which lies about 20 km from Dublin city center.

A man walked into the club and fired a number of shots before fleeing the scene in a silver Volkswagen Caddy van, eyewitnesses told police.
